What are the types of mushroom projects?

Common projects include button mushroom farms, oyster/milky mushroom units, compost production units, spawn labs, cold storage and processing units, FPO cluster projects, and export-grade farms. Each can be standalone or combined into an integrated production unit.

Does MushroomWale handle the full mushroom project?

Yes — we are an EPC contractor handling design, procurement, and construction. A typical project covers site layout, PPGL PUF grow rooms, climate machinery, compost and spawn infrastructure, cold storage, electricals, commissioning, operator training, and a bankable DPR.

Are mushroom projects eligible for subsidy and loans?

Yes. MIDH pays 40% of fixed cost norms (50% in NE and Himalayan states and Scheduled Areas): up to ₹12 lakh on a production unit, ₹12 lakh on a compost unit and ₹8 lakh on a spawn unit, credit-linked and back-ended. NHB is the alternative for units above 50 MT (35% of ₹75,000 per tonne), never both on one project. NABARD pays no subsidy; it refinances the bank loan. We prepare bankable DPRs that banks and agencies accept for project loans and subsidy release.

How long does a mushroom project take to build?

A small project is built and commissioned in 6-10 weeks once civil work is ready. Mid-size and integrated projects take 3-5 months including compost, cold storage, and validation.
